Senior HR & EHS Business Partner – Sales Area Northern Europe
Do you thrive where people, business and safety meet – and where strong leadership, capability building and a proactive safety culture drive commercial success? In this role, you shape how teams grow, collaborate and stay safe, while influencing the culture and long‑term competitiveness of an entire Sales Area.
About the job
You drive the HR and EHS agenda across multiple countries within the Sales Area, working closely with business leaders at strategic, tactical, and operational levels. Your role focuses on building high-performing teams, strengthening capabilities, and ensuring a safe, compliant, and engaging workplace.
You enable organizational performance and future readiness by supporting leaders with design, workforce planning, talent, and succession. Your decisions are guided by data and insights. Simultaneously, you lead the regional EHS efforts, emphasizing proactive risk management, continuous improvement, and alignment with global safety standards. You’re a trusted advisor to the VP Sales Area Northern Europe and an active member of the Sales Area Management Team, contributing directly to decision‑making and acting on people topics supportive of business priorities.
Job responsibilities
- Develop organizational and leadership capabilities in sales, technical, and service teams through targeted initiatives.
- Manage performance, goal-setting, and incentive structures to drive business results.
- Support talent attraction, development, retention, and succession planning for long-term readiness.
- Advise leaders using people analytics and organizational insights.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, agreements, and internal policies across countries.
- Lead regional EHS strategies to strengthen safety culture through coaching, audits, and risk assessments.
- Oversee EHS training, certifications, crisis preparedness, emergency readiness, and monitor key HR and EHS KPIs.
Location and collaboration
The preferred locations for this role are Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland or Germany.
Your profile
You’ve gained extensive experience in senior, business‑oriented HR roles within sales‑driven, technical or industrial environments and are comfortable working across the full employee lifecycle. Strong knowledge of talent, performance and organizational development comes naturally to you, as does navigating labor relations and compliance in an international setting. Experience with EHS or safety management systems is an advantage. You also bring:
- A strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to turn insight into action.
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Confidence in influencing, coaching and challenging leaders.
- Proficiency in HR and EHS systems, digital tools, and data.
- Fluency in English, verbally and in writing.
Integrity, accountability and collaboration guide how you work. You’re forward‑leaning, solution‑oriented and comfortable navigating complexity. By building trust and driving progress, you contribute to a culture that’s safe, inclusive, and engaging.
