HR Business Partner

Load & Haul Division within Mining is an industry leading global provider of loaders and trucks for the underground mining industry. We focus on technology and innovation and develop products to enable profitable and sustainable operations for our customers. The Turku site is a key product development and manufacturing center for our loading and hauling equipment.

We are now looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Sandvik Turku site. As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting and developing HR operations within the supply organization, ensuring that people‑related practices, processes, and solutions are aligned with business objectives and enable strong leadership. You will be a trusted HR partner to managers and leaders, contributing to a safe, compliant, and high‑performing work environment and engaging employee experience.

Your role

In this role, you will act as an HR expert and advisor, supporting, coaching, and influencing the organization through your expertise. As an HR Business Partner, you will provide hands‑on HR support to managers across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to retirement and from performance management to work ability‑related topics. You will advise managers in both day‑to‑day and more complex people matters, maintain a strong and visible HR presence in the production environment, and support well‑informed decision‑making that promotes engagement, well‑being, and operational effectiveness.

You will contribute to organizational development and change initiatives by reinforcing leadership practices, culture, values, and ways of working. Acting as a change partner, you will support the implementation of the people strategy within the supply organization and help translate strategic priorities into practical actions. You will follow up on key HR metrics, support supply HR communications, and act as a subject‑matter expert in employee experience and engagement processes.

In addition, you will participate in local and global HR development initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes. You will collaborate closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including supply management and leadership, the Sandvik HR organization, occupational safety teams, employee representatives, and occupational health care providers.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in an HR role (HR Generalist / HRBP / HR Manager) supporting business operations, preferably in an industrial or production environment. You bring solid expertise in Finnish labour legislation and collective agreements and are comfortable applying this knowledge while supporting managers in both everyday and more complex people matters. You work proactively and with a business‑oriented mindset, are able to anticipate needs, and combine strong operational HR capability with a broader, strategic understanding. You build trust through clear communication and collaboration and easily build relationships with different stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You have excellent communication skills in Finnish and English.
