Vice President and Head of Employee Experience

Now, we’re looking for a visionary leader to head our Employee Experience function – a role that shapes how we attract, engage and grow talent across the Sandvik Group.

Your mission

You’re joining a company that has set the foundation for growth, where your role is to lead our Employee Experience function with the goal of taking our employee journey to a new level through cross-functional collaboration and a holistic view. You oversee strategic planning and design of our employer branding and onboarding programs, as well as talent pooling, sourcing, assessment, and selection – ensuring that everything we do supports the company strategy. Sandvik is a decentralized organization and you work in close cooperation with business leaders and HR. Keeping up with market trends and best practices in the area of employee experience is important, and you share your knowledge and insights with stakeholders at all levels.

As your responsibility includes the Talent Acquisition, Performance & Engagement and Learning and Development functions, you lead a small team of experts covering the full scope from executive recruitment and onboarding to learning- and performance management and offboarding. Together with your team, you continue driving improvements to take us to the next level, always in close cooperation with the business. This includes leading an expert forum, where everything from attracting executive candidates, to recruitment, introduction and succession planning are on the agenda.
You report to, and act in close collaboration with Executive Vice President & Head of Human Resources, and you’re a valued member of our HR Management Team. You’re located in Stockholm or at one of our other Sandvik sites in Sweden. Occasional travel to our business units around the world is part of the job.

Your profile
We’re looking for someone with in-depth knowledge in the broad area of employee experience with a focus on talent acquisition and employer branding, combined with a background of working both strategically and operationally in a global environment for several years. You’re used to navigating in a decentralized organization with cross-functional collaborations and close contact with managers and HR, and you’re comfortable in presenting your cause to Executive Management and the Board. You’re also experienced in managing projects and your background includes a university degree in a relevant field. We expect an interest in new digital solutions, and experience of using Workday is advantageous. As we act in a global setting, you must be fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
You’re characterized by a structured, pragmatic and compliant way of working, and you capture opportunities without losing track of our direction. With a strategic and holistic view, you respond timely on business requirements and act on both urgent, short-term and long-term objectives. In all of your work, you rely on strong stakeholder management and great collaborations, and you empower people to find efficient solutions, look at new perspectives and share best practices.
