Currently, we have an opening for a Payroll Coordinator. In this role, you will ensure all daily and routine payroll activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with applicable corporate policies and government legislation. Will act as an administrator of employee records through continuous auditing of various system integrations between HR and Payroll and completes bi-weekly payroll processing using Dayforce.

What you will be doing

  • Processes bi-weekly payroll and supports year-end reconciliation and reporting.
  • Monitors and actions daily Workday/Dayforce integration transactions, job logs, PIR reports, and monthly audits; collaborates with the Workday coordinator to resolve discrepancies.
  • Validates weekly Workday reports for salary changes, transfers, hires, and terminations for assigned payroll groups and updates Payroll Specialists accordingly.
  • Manages Dayforce tasks including new hire and employee transfers, role access maintenance, and quarterly audits.
  • Exports and validates weekly employee pension election files and supports quarterly pension and group benefits audits.
  • Prepares and submits bi-weekly payroll post-commit reports to finance managers across business units.
  • Maintains the payroll common inbox, responding to employee and manager inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assists with timesheet validation and time-away-from-work requests.
  • Collaborates with Dayforce Support to troubleshoot and resolve system issues promptly.
  • Contributes to ongoing improvement of payroll processes through proactive problem-solving and teamwork.
  • Assists with other payroll-related tasks and projects as assigned.

What you will bring along

  • Completion or in final stage of Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification (PCP).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in payroll, preferably using Dayforce
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines with adaptability to changing situations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with various levels of organization
  • Foster a growth and development mindset with a take charge attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
