Your mission

As Vice President Operations you lead the development and execution of our global operations strategy. You’re part of the Sandvik Coromant Management team, setting direction and driving cross-functional collaboration to deliver world-class operations. You lead our global production with a focus on efficiency, quality, and transformation. You drive strategic planning, change management, and sustainability – balancing capacity and demand while anticipating technological shifts. You secure and lead our footprint optimization.

You also collaborate closely with Sandvik Machining divisions and foster a culture of safety and operational excellence. You also anticipate technological shifts and lead initiatives that keep us ahead of the curve. You develop the best people and organisations and work actively to ensure we engage and ensure high performing teams in the operations organisation.

This role is central to our strategic decision-making and requires close collaboration with the Divisional management team. You’re not just managing operations – you’re shaping the future of how we work, leading and developing both our people and the organization.

This position offers flexible working arrangements, preferably in Europe and you report directly to the President of Sandvik Coromant.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with a relevant academic background in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. With extensive experience in senior operations roles and a solid background in general management within global production environments, you combine strategic leadership with strong business acumen. Acting in a truly global environment calls for proficiency in English, verbally and in writing.

You’re customer-focused, entrepreneurial, and confident in navigating complex challenges. You communicate with clarity, motivate with purpose, and lead with integrity. By being a collaborative and inclusive leader, you easily build trust and drives results. You think holistically, act decisively, and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You’re not afraid to challenge the status quo and have the perseverance to see transformation through.
