Market Manager, Walter Thailand

Job Description

Walter is one of the world's leading metalworking companies. As provider of specialized machining solutions, we offer a wide range of precision tools for milling, turning, drilling and threading applications. We work together with our customers to develop custom solutions for fully machining components for use in several industries.

Main duties and responsibilities:

For Walter Thailand, we are searching for a dynamic Market Manager with a passion for Sales and for leading and developing successful teams. This position will be directly responsible for Sales Development, Sales Administration, Engineering, Local P/L, Finance & Accounting and People Management at Walter Thailand.

In particular objectives of the position include:

Lead, empower, coach and develop the companies’ managers and staff
Formulate short-term and long-term sales strategies in accordance with the group growth plans & priorities and taking local market peculiarities into account
Manage sales by implementation and execution of the sales strategies, guidelines and targets
Business development; keep up to date with market requirements and identify opportunities
Develop customer relationships, channel partners and Tool Management further
Represent Walter to major customers and professional associations
Network and collaborate across our Walter organization within APAC region and globally
Support ongoing increase of efficiency of our internal process and further digitalization of our internal ways of working
Ensure proper documentation and filings of legal entity documents and declarations
Other as required by local law.

Your profile:

Academic business or technical education
Strong sales and general management background
Experience within Cutting Tool Industry; technical aptitude
Strong leadership abilities to motivate and empower people
Proactive, energetic, drive, dynamic personality
Strategic mindset in combination with ability to drive hands-on execution of the plans and deliver results
High learning agility (understands fast, reflects own strengths/weaknesses, critically evaluates current practices)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Clear priority setting; result driven
Fluency in English, Thai and other languages would be a plus
