About the Role

Sandvik, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Holding Officer to lead our U.S. Operations. This is a senior leadership role responsible for representing Sandvik Group Management in the U.S., overseeing all financial functions, and ensuring compliance with both local and global policies. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, promote synergy across business areas, and act as an ambassador for the Sandvik Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and enforce local Sandvik rules, policies, programs, and business ethics, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and laws.

  • Direct and analyze economic studies impacting Sandvik’s operations and policies.

  • Coordinate contracts with national vendors and oversee loss prevention and safety programs.

  • Govern HR, employee benefits, and cooperative matters via the Country Coordination Council.

  • Manage public relations and serve as a board member on subsidiary boards as needed.

  • Oversee financial condition and solvency of the U.S. consolidated group and subsidiaries.

  • Direct dividend payments, acquisitions, divestitures, and integration of newly acquired companies.

  • Manage U.S. Cash Pool operations, income tax planning, and risk management processes.

  • Ensure compliance with tax administration, accounting consolidations, and external audits.

  • Develop and maintain the SI Management Manual and prepare monthly business performance monitoring.

  • Support the development and compliance of employee benefit plans and coordinate legal matters.

Required Competencies

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Proven leadership and negotiating abilities.

  • High ethical standards and personal integrity.

  • Systems knowledge and a focus on business ethics.

Experience & Education

  • 10–15 years of senior-level finance and systems experience within sales, marketing, and manufacturing organizations.

  • 5–10 years of senior-level financial management experience with international organizations.

  • BS/BA in Accounting required; MBA in Finance preferred; CPA is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role with occasional travel.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds as needed.

  • Adherence to health and safety protocols is required.
