Accounts Receivable Specialist 

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Reports to: Accounts Receivable Team Lead

Location: Menomonee Falls or Hartland, WI


Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is part of a team responsible for the complete Accounts Receivable process from invoicing the customer and applying cash, to collecting late payments and working with customers on improving payment behavior.

Expands skills in own work area. Maintains appropriate licenses, training and/or certifications, as needed. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within our area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Daily invoicing.

  • Cash application process.

  • Collections, sending out Dunning letters as well - Daily invoicing.

  • Cash application process.

  • Collections, including sending Dunning letters and making phone calls to slow-paying customers.

  • Proactively resolves outstanding account issues.

  • Generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports, such as Accounts Receivable aging reports.

  • Provides copies of customer invoices upon request.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or 2 to 6 years of relevant practical work experience is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience of office experience is also necessary.

  • Familiarity with Infor Visual is a plus.

  • Candidates should have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strong organizational skills.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail plus well organized.

  • Motivated and self-starter.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others in the discipline.

  • Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.

  • Use assigned methods, tools and processes. Contribute to sharing of best practice within own area.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds at a time.
