About the opportunity
We are looking for a proactive team member to support our Business Control function by enhancing productivity through the application of technology in finance processes, reporting, and analysis. This role works across all Divisions to ensure consistency, maintain strong internal controls, and comply with Accounting Standards.
In this role, your creativity and passion for delivering professional and value adding technology solutions and the ability to understand financial and management accounting practices, budgeting and forecasting will be highly regarded. You will require the ability to analyse, transform, interpret and articulate financial data to a range of functions within the wider business. This role supports the Sales teams, Business Line Managers, Business Controllers, Finance, Internal Controls and Audit in understanding the drivers (and limitations on) profitability.
This role is a Monday to Friday role, with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home two days per week.
- Support AUNZ controllers with monthly reporting (Sales Reporting, comments, A&S analysis, etc.) and queries. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including forecasts and variances, to identify and explain departures, anomalies, trends, opportunities, risks and corrective actions.
- Maintain and seek to continuously improve existing Power BI reporting solutions.
- Take ownership of the delivery of a pipeline of value adding Power Bi and other technology solutions for the Finance and Indirect Purchasing teams, ensuring professional, accurate and insightful information is readily available to support the decision-making process.
- Support the customer rebate process including monthly provision and quarterly/annual calculations of rebate payments.
- Support the regional quarterly forecasting process, including data uploads into the One Stream reporting platform, including assisting in developing and monitoring forecasts and collaborating with the Business Controllers to ensure the accuracy of the forecasted numbers.
- Produce monthly and quarterly reports and financial presentations for Sales Area Australia and New Zealand, including consolidation of analysis and commentaries.
- Analyse budget-to-actual A&S cost variances monthly and provide the Business Controllers/Management with updates so they can take corrective actions as needed.
- Provide support to the capital invoicing team, taking ownership of the process for selected divisions
- Experience or willingness to learn the financial impacts of various job management tools such as Maximo
About you
You’re a motivated finance professional with a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and ideally working towards or holding CA or CPA qualifications. With 2–3 years of experience in financial or management accounting, you bring a strong foundation in financial analysis and reporting.
You thrive in collaborative environments, building strong relationships with stakeholders and delivering customer-focused solutions. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to clearly present financial insights to senior leaders.
You’re highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. You enjoy working as part of a team and are confident using data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau to turn complex data into meaningful insights.
