EHS Coordinator – Warehousing Operations
Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands
Division: Parts & Services Logistics – Sandvik Mining

We are now looking for an EHS Coordinator to support our warehousing operations in Eindhoven and help strengthen safety culture, operational discipline and compliance across the site.
Your role – driving safe and sustainable warehouse operations
As EHS Coordinator, you promote high standards of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) within our warehousing activities and play a key role in safeguarding our people and operations. You support the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, lead risk management processes, and work closely with both Sandvik teams and our 3PL partner to ensure safe, compliant and efficient daytoday operations.
You will:
Risk Management & Compliance
- Develop, implement and maintain an EHS risk matrix tailored to warehousing activities
- Standardize risk assessments and critical control measures across the facility
- Ensure alignment with the Sandvik EHS Management System and Dutch legislation
- Conduct audits, inspections and compliance checks, identifying improvement opportunities
- Participate in or lead root cause investigations and support CAPA follow up
- Oversee contractor and third party EHS compliance at the site
- Collate and report monthly EHS data into the EHS Management tool
EHS Culture & Continuous Improvement
- Support the development and execution of annual EHS site plans
- Deliver toolbox talks and site‑wide safety communications
- Monitor and report performance metrics, trends and risk indicators
- Promote consistent hazard and incident reporting and ensure timely actions and closure
- Contribute to EHS culture building initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
You work closely with:
- Warehouse Manager
- 3PL provider (including their EHS Coordinator)
- Supervisors, operational teams and safety representatives
Together, you ensure consistent ways of working, aligned priorities, and strong engagement in EHS across the site.
Working environment
This is a dual setting role. While based in the office, you will spend significant time on the warehouse floor to support daily operations, conduct inspections, and engage directly with teams. Occasional travel may be required. Adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements is essential.
Your profile – structured, proactive, and committed to safety
You bring solid EHS expertise and a practical, hands on approach. You are comfortable engaging with diverse groups, influencing stakeholders and fostering a culture where safety comes first.
Education & Experience
- EHS-specific qualification (NEBOSH IGC, MVK or equivalent)
- Significant demonstrated experience leading EHS initiatives in warehousing or logistics environments, with a history of improving safety performance and driving compliance
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards, compliance and risk management
- Sound knowledge of Dutch EHS legislation
- Experience with EHS culture improvement programs
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Dutch language proficiency
- Strong time management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environments
- Self driven, with a strong customer focused mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams essential; PowerPoint/Power BI desirable)
