EHS Specialist

The role
We are seeking applications from motivated individuals for EHS Specialist to join our EHS team based in the Freeport Indonesia - located in the Papua Province, Indonesia.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Designs, develops, implements and oversees the organization’s environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations.
May conduct studies, audits and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health laws, standards and regulations.
Ensures accidents are investigated
Promotes safety-conscious work performance and training programs.
Provides safety performance measures.
Determines root cause analyses.
ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY
Adopt a proactive approach to building a sustainable Sandvik Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) culture within the workplace
Conduct yourself in accordance with Sandvik EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm to our people, the environment we work in, our customers and our suppliers
Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and ensure that your actions do not adversely affect the environment or the health and safety of any other person in the workplace.
Comply with all aspects of the Sandvik Environment, Health and Safety Policy, and any reasonable instructions, procedures or systems of work which are given in the interest of providing safe work practices in the workplace and to eliminate environmental harm.
Identify and report any unsafe work behaviors/ practices, hazards and incidents immediately.
EXPERIENCE
2–6 Years of Experience in EHS Roles : Experience working in mining, construction, oil & gas, or heavy equipment sectors. Involvement in on-site inspections, EHS reporting, and monitoring.
EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATES
Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Relevant Field (Mandatory) . Preferred major: Occupational Health & Safety (K3),Environmental Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Public Health
Certified in National or International EHS Standards. At least one of the following: AK3 Umum (Kemenaker), ISO 45001/14001 Awareness or Internal Auditor, HIRA, Working at Height, Confined Space, or Fire Safety certification
Basic Computer and English Proficiency: Able to use MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint for reporting and safety documentation. Understands basic English terminology used in safety signs, procedures, and reports.
