Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for the EHS Officer - Site based in Adaro, Tanjung South Kalimantan.

The role is responsible for delivering planning, implementing, and enforcing an organization's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) system, policies and procedures. The primary objective is to create a workplace that is safe and healthy for people and the organization.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of EHS procedures and assist in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

  • Assist in conducting site inspections, observations, and hazard identifications.

  • Maintain and update EHS records, databases, and logs (e.g., PPE issuance, training attendance, incident reports).

  • Coordinate and support EHS training logistics and reporting.

  • Escalate identified safety concerns or near-miss incidents to the EHS Officer or Coordinator.

  • Providing support in CSMS proses and documentation.

  • Conduct EHS activities in accordance with SMKP standards and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Take personal ownership for working safely and responsibly in accordance with Sandvik’s EHS Vision of Zero Harm.

  • Follow all EHS rules, procedures, and instructions to protect yourself, your coworkers, and the environment.

  • Understand that your actions contribute to Sandvik’s compliance with international EHS standards, such as ISO 14001 (Environmental), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and SMKP.

  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to your supervisor or the EHS team.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools properly and consistently.

  • Stop and report any of your work that is unsafe or could pose harm to yourself, others, or the environment.

  • Participate actively in EHS training, safety talks, and improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • 2–6 Years of Practical Experience in EHS Roles. Hands-on experience supporting EHS teams in mining, construction, heavy industry, or manufacturing. Familiar with daily EHS tasks such as safety walks, PPE audits, emergency drills, and training support.

  • Diploma (D3) or bachelor’s degree (S1) in a Relevant Field. Preferred Major: Occupational Health & Safety (K3), Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Industrial Engineering.

  • EHS Certification Required. Must have at least one of the following: AK3 Umum (Kemnaker), ISO 45001 or 14001 awareness/internal auditor training, First Aid, Fire Safety, or HIRA Certification.

  • Basic Technical and Digital Proficiency. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ideally some EHS reporting tools or software.

  • Can read and understand English safety documentation and contribute to bilingual reporting.
