About the Opportunity
You will play a key part in driving a strong safety culture across our operations. You’ll work closely with the EHS Manager to support operational teams in embedding safe work practices, meeting compliance requirements, and delivering on broader EHS objectives. By providing proactive coaching, hands-on guidance, and strategic support, you’ll help ensure consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all sites. With a strong presence in the field, you will influence frontline leaders, foster ownership, and contribute to building a workplace where safety and compliance are at the core of everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Act in full compliance with Sandvik’s EHS Vision and Policy, embedding a strong culture of Zero Harm in all operations.
- Ensure alignment with the Sandvik Way, promoting organisational values, business priorities, and compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards.
- Provide practical guidance to teams on applying EHS procedures in daily operations, promoting safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
- Support the development and use of Safe Work Instructions, Job Risk Analysis, and other EHS documentation, encouraging teams to maintain accurate records.
- Help identify hazards and conduct risk assessments, fostering proactive safety behaviours and ownership of risk controls and corrective actions.
- Participate in incident reviews, supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions, and sharing learnings to build a continuous improvement culture.
- Assist site management in meeting or exceeding EHS standards through audits, benchmarking programs, and consultative arrangements.
- Maintain strong visibility in the field, building trust with employees and leaders through engagement and hands-on coaching.
- Support inspections, audits, and reporting by helping teams interpret findings, track metrics, and act on improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Operations Management and EHS leaders to influence culture, strengthen leadership, and align site activities with business goals.
About you
You are a safety professional with a tertiary qualification in Work Health and Safety (or a related discipline) and proven experience in EHS advisory or support roles within industrial, mining, manufacturing, or service environments. Skilled at engaging and influencing frontline teams, you bring the ability to coach leaders and employees in safe work practices, risk management, and compliance. With strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, you work effectively with EHS Managers and operational leaders to drive cultural and procedural improvements. Comfortable working across diverse environments—from workshops and logistics centers to customer and mine sites—you are proactive, adaptable, and committed to fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
