Documentation Engineer
Within our Parts & Services Division (part of Sandvik’s Business Area Mining), our mission is to keep our equipment running to its full potential. We are responsible for the aftermarket business worldwide, developing tailored offerings and services to support our customers throughout the equipment lifecycle and deliver competitive and consistent service for Sandvik equipment. Our customer base ranges from large multinational mining and infrastructure companies and contractors to small and medium-sized enterprises, all of whom rely on our equipment.
Our exciting opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Documentation Engineer (Technical Writer) within our Product Line team in the Parts & Services Division. The Division drives the aftermarket business keeping customers’ fleet on track with services, solutions and parts.
Based at our facility in Tampere or Turku, you will work with modern documentation tools and contribute directly to the quality and usability of our technical product information.
In this role, you will collaborate with Engineering, Product Safety, Product Line, and other stakeholders to create clear and accurate technical documentation that supports our customers, service teams, and global sales areas.
The position is located either in Tampere (Myllypuro) or in Turku (Runosmäki), Finland.
Your main responsibilities
Create and update service & repair manuals, kit manuals, and other technical documentation.
Work independently to interpret technical material from engineering and product safety disciplines.
Develop high-quality content that complies with our documentation standards and quality principles.
Participate actively in the ongoing development of documentation practices, tools, and processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally to gather information, validate technical content, and ensure accuracy.
Your profile
To be successful in this position, you likely have:
Experience in technical writing, documentation engineering, or a similar role.
Familiarity with modern documentation tools and structured authoring environments.
The ability to understand and interpret technical content (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or related areas).
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
A proactive mindset and interest in developing documentation processes and standards.
Good written and spoken English skills; Finnish is considered an advantage.
