Operational Lead – Manuals Department

Are you energized by creating structures where many moving parts need to work together? Do you enjoy being the person who makes things flow – aligning people, processes, and tools so great work can happen? This role sits at the heart of how high-quality manuals reach customers worldwide.

At Sandvik, documentation isn’t just support-material – it’s a key part of how we deliver value, safety, and innovation across our products.

Why Sandvik?

This role offers the chance to shape how documentation is created and delivered in a global, technology‑driven organization. We offer you:

  • a key position with real influence on ways of working and operational excellence.
  • close collaboration with skilled specialists across product, engineering, and projects.
  • an environment that encourages improvement, learning, and new ideas.

About your job

As Operational Lead in the Manuals Department, the focus is on keeping daily operations running smoothly while continuously improving how documentation work is done. Planning, coordination, and prioritization are part of everyday work, ensuring Technical Writers have the right conditions to deliver high‑quality manuals on time.

You act as a natural hub between teams, aligning documentation activities with project timelines and product releases. Processes, tools, and standards are actively developed, bottlenecks are removed, and progress is followed up to ensure delivery without compromising quality. Strategic thinking blends with hands-on coordination, creating structures that support both today’s needs and tomorrow’s improvements.

Location and flexibility

The location for this position is Svedala, a short commute from Malmö. We offer you hybrid work arrangements, combining office work with work from home.

Your profile

You have solid operational experience and a strong sense for structure and flow. A background in documentation, technical communication, or similar knowledge‑intensive environments is valuable. We also believe you have:

  • Several years of experience coordinating workflows, operations, or smaller teams
  • Strong understanding of process development, planning, and prioritization
  • Confidence working with documentation tools, version management, and quality standards
  • Interest in digitalization and technologies such as AI to improve documentation processes

Your collaborative mindset and calm, solution-oriented way of working are perfect assets for this role. You build trust through clarity, consistency, and the ability to keep people aligned even when priorities shift. Clear communication comes naturally, both in writing and dialogue with stakeholders. Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in helping others succeed make everyday work both effective and rewarding.

About your new team

The Manuals Department plays a vital role in how we deliver safe, reliable, and user-friendly products around the world. The team consists of dedicated Technical Writers and specialists who take pride in their craft and continuously look for smarter ways of working. Collaboration is close, knowledge is shared, and improvements are driven together — always with the end user in mind.
