About the job
In this role, you provide technical expertise and support to ensure the optimal use and performance of rotary drilling tools across diverse applications. You supervise tool usage, analyze performance data, and drive operational improvements that enhance productivity and reduce downtime. You collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D and commercial teams while promoting the highest safety standards in all drilling operations.
What you’ll do
- Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance in rotary drilling operations.
- Facilitate training sessions for operators, customers, and internal teams.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret drilling performance data to identify opportunities.
- Share insights with R&D to support product improvements and innovation.
- Support commercial activities with technical recommendations and customer consultations.
- Maintain documentation related to operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Location
This position is based on-site in Sandviken, Sweden, although South Africa and Zambia may also be options. Regular travel to customer sites is part of the role.
Your profile
You have hands‑on experience in mining and drilling applications, and you’re confident working with the operation and maintenance of drilling tools. You’re able to provide consultation, make recommendations, and support product development in collaboration with the commercial team. A degree in Mining Engineering or experience in a related technical field is beneficial. You’re fluent in English and you hold a valid Class B driver’s license.
You’re a natural communicator who easily connects with both customers and colleagues. You take initiative, stay curious, and enjoy solving problems in the field. You work in a structured way, share technical insights, and are confident in leading training or discussions. You’re collaborative, safety‑minded, and motivated by improving performance and helping others succeed.
