We are searching for an Industrial engineer to join our team in Mining - Assembly Center, Hinjewadi Pune.
The role
Assist in the continuous improvement initiatives for the PU by facilitating Kaizen events, implementation of 5S, defining standard hours for the assemblies, performing analysis on value added and non-value added activities. This role will also need to assist in SAP activities
Areas of responsibility:-
- Conduct process studies to revise the sequence of operations and the workflow
- Facilitate in the Kaizen events conducted to identify wastes in the processes. Maintain tracker for all the improvements identified and assist in implementing the action plan
- Facilitate in implementation of 5S across the premises
- Conduct time study to identify bottlenecks to be improved further
- Generate operational excellence MIS to be shared with the management monthly
- Support in SAP activities through data maintenance, tracking incidents, support on daily issue resolution
- Revising the routings defined in SAP as per the actual improvements, reviewing the component allocations
- Assisting in the upgrades/development of new processes/functionality in SAP
Your profile
Education / Experience
Degree in Mechanical/ Production/ Industrial Engineering with a minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Industrial/ Manufacturing engineering in manufacturing industry.
Competencies
Hands on experience and knowledge on Manufacturing processes, Continuous improvement initiatives
Basics of Lean manufacturing techniques
Basic understanding on how a ERP works
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Project)
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, time management and planning skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented, and perform well under pressure, if needed
