Job profile
As a Project Lead, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical documentation projects for the Mechanical Cutting division. This role involves managing end-to-end documentation processes for Spare parts Manual, Aftermarket kits etc., You will lead a team of technical writers and illustrators, ensure compliance with industry standards, and collaborate closely with Division Engineering and aftermarket teams. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with expertise in technical documentation.
Main Responsibilities
• Plan, prioritize, and manage documentation projects to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Create or update the ways of working and guideline documents in-align with implementation requirements.
• Maintain project trackers for estimation vs actual hours and monitor quality metrics.
• Guide and mentor technical writers and illustrators, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.
• Ensure the team follows all the Documentation process including Spare part settings, Illustrations creation, Exporting and Publishing solutions.
• Supervise the creation of illustrations using Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW.
• Oversee creation and maintenance of Parts manuals, service guides, and Aftermarket kits for Coal cutting equipment’s.
• To create Parts manuals and Aftermarket kits as per the defined schedule.
• Validate content by interpreting mechanical GA drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and electrical schematics.
• Work closely with engineering and aftermarket teams to support Parts Manual and Aftermarket kit documentation.
• Proactively look for new opportunities from Division to expand the collaboration.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to gather and validate information.
Your profile
Education & Experience
You have a university degree in Mechanical engineering or another relevant field (or equivalent) and between 12-15 years of experience in Technical Documentation.
Technical Expertise:
· Strong knowledge of XML editing tools and basics of DITA-based structured authoring.
· Expertise in technical publication environments and authoring tools.
· Proficiency in PLM systems and CAD tools (Siemens Teamcenter & NX).
· Advanced skills in illustration tools (Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW) and integration of 3D models.
· Ability to interpret mechanical GA drawings, hydraulic diagrams, and electrical schematics.
· Experience in creating end-to-end spare parts manuals and aftermarket kit documentation.
· Familiarity with SAP for parts data management.
· Experience in working with a Project management tool, preferably Asana.
· Understanding of information architecture principles and content reuse strategies.
· Knowledge of industry standards for technical documentation and compliance requirements.
· Ability to implement version control and manage multilingual documentation projects.
· Exposure to digital publishing platforms and interactive documentation formats.

• Ability to clearly articulate project goals, timelines, and expectations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Skilled at influencing decisions and negotiating priorities to ensure project success.
• Proficient in resolving team conflicts and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Strong capability to manage relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and customers.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching team members to enhance skills and performance.
• Comfortable delivering presentations and status updates to senior management and global teams.
• Open to change and able to lead teams through evolving project requirements and priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a global environment with diverse teams.
• Demonstrates initiative in identifying risks, proposing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
