Product and Service Specialist - Mobile Crushing and Screening

​Sandvik Mining and Construction DRC is a Sales Unit based in Lubumbashi, within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, a Business Area, a leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and support for the mining industry. We also provide solutions and knowledge in a wide range of applications such as rock drilling, rock cutting, loading and hauling, tunnelling and quarrying.

Your mission

  • Customer training and efficient technical services support (including troubleshooting) pertaining to all Mobile Crushing & Screening products supplied to customers in DRC

  • Work closely with the customer installation and commissioning activities of any Sandvik Mobile Crushing & Screening equipment.

  • Guide and assist Customer’ Maintenance Teams with fault diagnosis work

  • Work with Customers’ Maintenance Teams to assist with repair and fault diagnosis using hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation schematics

  • Work with the customer on recommended spare lists and pricing

  • Ensure adequate planning in relation to spare and wear part requirements, and liaise with the logistics & inventory team

  • Cooperate closely with the sales team or directly with the customer to promote equipment and aftermarket sales

  • Provide relevant feedback through equipment condition, performance and process audits, to enable maintenance planning improvements in terms of efficiency and equipment integrity.

  • understand service requirements. Provides product service, or equipment, technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Works towards achieving set KPI’s for both the Customers and Sandvik.

  • Providing relevant information to the Mobiles installed base in DRC to the Sales Area & Global teams, and to ensure accurate installed base information is maintained in the database.

  • Accept and perform tasks delegated by SRP Management as deemed necessary.

  • Ensure all Sandvik policies and procedures, especially the health, safety and environmental policies, are adhered to by the team.

  • Stay up to date with new models and equipment upgrades

  • Compliance with local regulatory and mining legislation

  • Responsible for personal safety and safety of all the teams he/she will be working with on different jobs and different sites.

  • Responsible for safe work environment by contributing to job safety analysis, engineering technical standards, facility standards and work practices.

Your profile

You are a proactive leader with experience in crushers and screening equipment, strong team-building and project management skills, excellent communication for customer interaction, a solid understanding of safety compliance, and expertise in parts planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.

The role requires flexibility in travel and working hours, independence, and time management skills. Compliance with Health and Safety standards is crucial, and the ability to produce professional technical reports is expected. Fluency in English is mandatory, while French is an advantage.
