Electrical Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

Are you passionate about designing and implementing cutting-edge electrical systems? We are seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, testing, and implementation of electrical systems in large battery packs for mining equipment. As a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute to harness design, electrical architecture, and the development of module and pack systems to meet rigorous industry and internal standards. Join us in creating robust, efficient, and tailored solutions for the challenging environments of mining applications.

Main Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

  • Design and prototype new harness systems, enhancing performance and manufacturability.
  • Develop and implement sensor solutions for battery pack systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in module and pack design processes, from conceptualization to testing and validation.

Testing and Validation:

  • Design test protocols and setups for new battery systems and components.
  • Conduct testing of electrical systems to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
  • Analyze test data and lead problem-solving efforts for any uncovered issues.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Work closely with engineering teams to integrate battery systems with overall vehicle designs.
  • Create detailed documentation for designs, tests, and analysis processes to support manufacturing and support departments.
  • Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders and management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies in battery systems and electrical engineering.
  • Propose innovative solutions and improvements to design and testing processes.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in electrical system design, preferably in battery systems for automotive or heavy equipment.
  • Proven track record in harness design, sensor implementation, and electrical testing.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Salary Range: $91,100 - $113,850
