Load & Haul Division’s Turku plant within Sandvik Mining is an industry-leading global provider of loaders and trucks for underground mining industry. Our focus is on technology development and future-oriented innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers.


We are looking for a Business Development Analyst to strengthen our market intelligence and data‑driven decision-making capabilities. In this role, you will apply advanced analytics and AI to transform complex market and operational data into clear insights that support business planning, commercial prioritization, and strategic growth. This is a permanent position located at our Division headquarters in Turku, Finland.

Alongside market analytics, you will drive operational excellence by developing automated workflows and digital tools using the Microsoft Power Platform. As a key advocate for AI adoption, you will help the organization work smarter, act faster, and stay competitive in a rapidly evolving market environment.

Your responsibilities

As a Business Development Analyst in the Sales Support team, you collaborate closely with stakeholders across the Load & Haul Division. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining integrated analytics solutions that consolidate and model market data, sales performance, and active fleet profiles to support strategic insights.
  • Analyzing market and business trends to identify opportunities and risks, providing recommendations that guide business planning and demand forecasting.
  • Contributing to the market share measurement process by ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and interpretation of key metrics.
  • Acting as a Microsoft Power Platform and AI champion to promote adoption and build digital capability across the organization.
  • Designing and implementing automated workflows and digital productivity tools to improve efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Applying AI and advanced analytics to generate predictive market insights and inform forward‑looking commercial strategies.
  • Developing, enhancing, and managing Power BI dashboards and analytical assets, ensuring high-quality visualization and reporting.
  • Training and supporting users to strengthen data literacy and promote modern, analytics-driven ways of working.

Your profile

You hold a degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, along with a few years’ experience in data management, analytics, market intelligence, or similar roles—preferably in a global environment. You understand how data and modern business intelligence tools support business processes and decision-making.

You are technically strong in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization), experienced with the Power Platform, and familiar with AI‑driven analytics and predictive modeling.

A curious, proactive mindset and a willingness to innovate are essential. You are analytically strong, highly organized, and skilled at turning data into actionable insights that support better business outcomes. You thrive in collaboration, embrace digital transformation, and continuously look for ways to improve processes and tools.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are required; Finnish is an advantage. You handle change well, stay focused in a dynamic environment, and manage your priorities effectively. While travel is not a regular part of the role, occasional trips may be required.
