Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Support – Ground Support professional to join our Southeast Asia team based in Indonesia. This is a dynamic, dual-function role combining onsite technical support and sales/business development, working closely with major mining operations.
You will play a key role in supporting underground ground support contracts while also driving growth across the Indonesian territory through technical expertise and strong customer engagement.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical & Site Support
Provide rostered onsite support (approx. 2-3 weeks per cycle) for ground support operations and contract management.
Ensure delivery against contract KPIs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Conduct underground trials, pull tests, installation audits, and provide detailed reports.
Support product selection, application, and troubleshooting for ground support systems.
Deliver training programs to end users on installation and product application.
Maintain strong collaboration with site stakeholders and act as a key technical contact.
Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and product applications.
Support territory sales strategy and contribute to technical sales programs.
Conduct customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across mining operations.
Analyse competitors and market trends to support positioning strategies.
Assist with quotations, forecasting, reporting, and CRM/ERP activities.
Continuous Improvement & Safety
Promote a strong EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) culture and Zero Harm mindset.
Participate in process improvement initiatives for contract and operational efficiency.
Investigate product performance issues and drive corrective actions.
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement within the business.
COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE
As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions and factories.
Direct report to Business Line Manager Ground Support.

Regularly review EHS performance metrics and lead improvement initiatives based on trends, audits, and incidents.
Ensure effective communication of EHS priorities and expectations to all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
Demonstrate exemplary EHS behavior and ensure the organization complies with Sandvik global EHS Policy, ISO 14001/45001, and SMKP requirements.
Empower all employees to stop and report any work that appears unsafe or could cause harm, without fear of retaliation.
PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY
Willingness to travel up to 60% across Indonesia
Ability to work underground at mining and construction sites
Bahasa Indonesia and English proficiency preferred.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in underground mining operations
Strong understanding of ground support products and applications
Experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or Geologist
Skills & Attributes
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
Customer-focused with a strong drive for results and relationship management
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems Intermediate English proficiency (CEFR Level B1).
