The Role: Product Specialist.
The Product Specialist will be responsible for driving the sales, technical support, and market development of our specific product lines within the Zimbabwean market. This role requires a strong understanding of customer needs, product applications, and market dynamics to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Performance Areas:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote and sell Sandvik M and C products, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Provide expert technical advice and support to customers, including product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, competitive trends, and customer requirements
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team, service department, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Manage customer relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent Sandvik M and C and network with potential customers.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and sales tools.
Your Profile:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, (Mining, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred), Business, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in sales, technical support, or product management within the mining, construction, or heavy machinery industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Sandvik M and C products and their applications is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the Zimbabwean mining and construction market.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Zimbabwe.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
