The Role: Warehouse Supervisor

This role is responsible for the effective supervision and control of all warehouse operations to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. The position maintains control over various types of goods and materials, conducts physical counts and reconciliations, and ensures the correctness of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The role is critical to maintaining an efficient workflow and safe working environment.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Operational Management & Performance: Oversee all warehouse operations including receipt, dispatch, stock accuracy, customer order staging, and real-time system recording while maintaining facility security and minimising stock-out disruptions.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, train, and appraise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and adherence to company standards.
  • Process Improvement & Quality Control: Identify and implement process improvements, optimize space utilization, and maintain effective document management and operating procedures across all warehouse functions.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Lead and enforce full EHS compliance across the warehouse, ensuring staff training, regular inspections, PPE provision, incident management, and accurate safety reporting to management

Job Qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Stores Management.
  • 3+ years' experience at Supervisory level in a Supply Chain environment.
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation and document management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft office package.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A BSc Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is an added advantage.
