About the job
You play a key role in strengthening our internal control function, increasing the level of maturity, and ensuring our business is compliant, efficient, and improving. Reporting to the BA Mining Director of Financial Control, you have a team of one manager and four region controllers located across the globe and work closely with stakeholders across BA and Group, with the power to influence how we work on a global scale.
Job responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and motivate your team in delivering on our internal control goals.
- Take the lead in ensuring sufficient design and implementation of internal control functionality in the new SAP S4/Hana system.
- Drive implementation of automated and effective controls throughout the business.
- Ensure compliance with finance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and develop relationships across the organization, including audits and finance leaders worldwide.
- Integrate new acquisitions smoothly into our internal control processes.
- Provide relevant reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Respond proactively to audit remarks and compliance findings.
Location and flexibility
This role is based at the World Trade Center in Stockholm, with a hybrid arrangement that lets you work both on-site and partly remotely. Occasional travel is included in the job.
Your profile
You have a solid background in financial control, internal audits, or related fields, and you’re experienced in working with financial and reporting systems. Your qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, business administration)
- Expertise in financial systems, reporting platforms, and internal control tools
- Fluency in English, verbally and written
You know how to build trust, collaborate across teams, and influence others. Balancing the strategic with the operational comes naturally, and you’re energized by turning complex challenges into practical solutions.
