Business Excellence Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Excellence Specialist is responsible for supporting the Rock Tools business by coordinating sales administration, inventory planning, customer service, and business reporting activities to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The role works closely with customers, sales teams, supply chain, and internal stakeholders to maintain accurate business data, support VMI and consignment programs, monitor inventory performance, and identify opportunities for business growth. The incumbent also ensures compliance with company safety standards, policies, and procedures while providing timely administrative and operational support to achieve business objectives and enhance customer experience.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safety and Environment

  • Ensure all activities are being carried out in accordance with company values and current company policies and procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to mines regulations for all works performed by Sandvik at the Project Site.

  • Report on unsafe facilities and practices to the Contracts Supervisor. Ensure that the Customer's statutory obligations at the Project Site are met on consumables and workshop facilities.

  • Demonstrate and maintain a high standard of housekeeping to optimize a safe and productive working environment with a quality outcome.

2. Customer Focus

  • Maintain current customer base and services.

  • Develop opportunities for growth in the Rock Tools business.

  • Work closely with the sales team and support them to achieve sales objectives and improve sales efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Proactive follow up calls and mails to the customer, keeping them updated and building relationships.

3. Administration

  • Enter and maintain accurate information in databases, spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and other business systems to support customer records, order tracking, reporting, and business operations.

  • Conduct periodic forecast reviews with Demand Planner to ensure inventory levels are maintained in line with targets and business requirements.

  • Support Rock Tools VMI and consignment activities on site, including bundle deal coordination, while conducting market analysis by preparing monthly stock value, estimated invoice, and estimated GIT value reports.

  • Attend and participate in relevant stakeholder meetings/activities (price reviews, budget preparation, tender preparation, account planning, sales meetings, etc.).

  • Follow up and coordinate with the supply chain network on outstanding items.

  • Provide support for field teams, including merchandise coordination, site permit arrangements, and related administrative activities.

  • Respond to routine inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Code and sort documents to ensure accurate processing and filing.

  • Make standard calculations and compile reports and statistics as required.

COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE

  • As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions, including Business Line Managers.

  • Direct report to Sales Manager Rock Tools.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Mining Engineering, or related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales support, customer service, supply chain, inventory management, business administration, or a related area. Experience in mining, construction, or industrial equipment industries is an advantage.

  • Competencies: Customer focus, planning and organizing, communication, teamwork, data management, analytical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

  • Intermediate English proficiency (CEFR Level B2).

PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY

Travel from site to site within country (throughout Indonesia).
