Key Account Manager Aerospace

We are now looking for a driven Key Account Manager Aerospace to join our team in China. In this role, you’ll be responsible to develop the Sales Area China business in the Aerospace industry and with key local players like Comac, AECC & AVIC in focus.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Key Account Manager for Comac, AECC & AVIC, your responsibilities are the following:

  • Reach sales targets and other objectives within the assigned group.
  • Responsible for maintaining and reinforcing long-term client relationships with established clients.
  • Monitors customer activities and disseminates information to the relevant parties.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts together with the relevant departments of the Group's legal and pricing departments.
  • Serve as a link between customers, possible intermediate parties, and company departments.
  • Coordinate the activities of all functions with which the customer has direct contact to provide a consistent and coherent service and excellent customer experience.
  • Develop and execute the Comac Account Plan, coordinating with the Account Plans of associated clients.
  • Support account managers in securing resources, aligning goals and plans for individual customers, and executing plans by actively participating in key customer activities.

As Business Development Manager for Aerospace, your responsibilities are the following:

  • Lead the market analysis work in China, understanding the customer landscape as well as market and technology trends.
  • Lead the development and execution of a strategic plan for the Aerospace business segment in China.
  • Identify, initiate and implement projects aimed at growing our business.
  • Identify potential new accounts. And support the sales teams to establish and strengthen relationships.
  • Liaise between the Chinese market and relevant industry segment business function in the headquarters and other markets.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of the Aerospace industry and its specific manufacturing technologies and challenges.
  • Understanding of the Sandvik Coromant offer, value proposition and go to market approach.
  • Strong communication skills and dexterity in dealing with customers, especially in monetary benefit argumentation.
  • Team-oriented, convincing, responsible and independent way of working
  • Project management.
  • Business fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office 365 package
  • Analytical skills and structured ways of working.
  • Resilient and able to challenge current ways of working.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical/manufacturing engineering or economics or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience from the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience in sales management with engineering cutting tools skills and knowledge or relevant manufacturing processes / basic business administration.
  • Proven track record in delivering very good business results.
  • Project management knowledge and experience.
  • Successful experience from negotiations of commercial terms and conditions with industrial customers.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing external and internal customer relationships.
  • Relevant application knowledge.
  • It is preferred to have a background of working in the aviation industry.

Location: Within China primarily

Requires extensive travel within assigned geography and occasionally to other Sales Regions.
