About the job
You contribute to product, process and materials development by applying advanced modeling and simulation expertise. You independently drive complex modelling tasks, support capability development in R&D, and continuously improve methods, tools and workflows to increase the quality and speed of our deliveries.
Job responsibilities
Develop, validate and apply advanced numerical models to support R&D decision-making
Build and manage data structures for simulation parameters, outputs and metadata
Apply methods such as DFT, FEM and statistical modeling to analyze material behavior and processes
Contribute to digitalization through model integration, automation and data-driven approaches
Collaborate with experts across R&D, production, quality and application
Location
This position is based on-site in Västberga.
Your profile
You have a strong background within materials modeling and simulation and enjoy connecting theory with real-world applications. With a structured and analytical mindset, you’re comfortable working with complex data and advanced numerical methods.
Your background includes:
MSc or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics or similar
Strong expertise in numerical modeling and simulation, such as FEM, DFT or related methods
Experience in statistical analysis, data management and handling large datasets
Programming skills in tools such as Python, SQL, MATLAB or similar environments
Proven ability to connect models with experimental data and physical understanding
You’re an independent and accountable professional who takes ownership of your work while staying open, curious and collaborative. Communicating complex results comes naturally, and you enjoy working closely with others to share knowledge and solve challenges together.
