Solution Engineer - Integration Delivery

This is an opportunity to combine hands-on software engineering with end-to-end ownership to build APIs and integrations that support business-critical operations while contributing to a reusable integration platform. Welcome to Sandvik Group IT!

Some of the things you'll do here:

  • Build and own integrations from initial design through deployment and production support.
  • Work with modern engineering practices covering APIs, automation, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
  • Turn delivery experience into reusable components, templates and technical improvements.

Your mission

In this role, you design, develop and maintain custom integrations and APIs for business areas and projects built natively on Azure Integration Services. Your work combines hands-on engineering with production responsibility, and you ensure that each delivery follows standardized patterns for security, logging, monitoring, resilience and error handling. You’re part of the PA Engineering Platforms Integration team and report to the Competence Manager.

Job responsibilities:

  • Design and develop production-ready APIs and integrations using synchronous, asynchronous and event-driven patterns with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid and Azure API Management.
  • Build integration logic, APIs and automation components in C# or Python, supported by Bash or PowerShell scripting.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code for repeatable, automated deployments.
  • Implement technical guardrails for authentication, authorization, secrets, certificates, networking, logging, monitoring and policy validation.
  • Own live integrations in production, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident resolution and performance improvements.
  • Convert delivery learnings into reusable templates, platform components, runbooks, post-mortems and clear technical documentation.

Location

This position is based at the World Trade Center in Stockholm or Mossvägen in Sandviken.

Your profile

You’re an experienced integration engineer with a strong background in building and operating enterprise integrations. Combining software engineering with integration expertise, you understand how APIs, cloud services, automation and operations come together to create secure, reliable and maintainable solutions.

Your background also includes:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid and Azure API Management. You’ve designed resilient integrations with effective retry, error-handling and monitoring approaches and understand the engineering practices required to operate integrations in production.
  • Strong programming skills in C# or Python, alongside experience using Bash or PowerShell for deployment and operational automation.
  • Practical knowledge of REST APIs, messaging, asynchronous communication, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, observability, resilience, security controls, and production support.

Methodical and pragmatic in your approach, you stay composed when solving incidents and complex technical challenges. You take ownership, listen closely to business needs, and make sound decisions that balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability. Collaboration comes naturally, and you enjoy sharing knowledge with architects, platform engineers, product stakeholders, and other delivery teams.
