Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Underground Technical Advisor Rock Breakers to join our team.

Position Overview

The role is to provide a high level of Service support to maintain the Customer fleet of Underground Mining equipment (M442HD, M440HD and BB5600r) in a fit for purpose state. Ensuring optimum use of available resources to execute safe and efficient maintenance activities whilst ensuring contract KPI’s are achieved by guiding technical staff through both preventative maintenance tasks and breakdown repairs. Working together in a team environment, it is important that the applicant has a high level of enthusiasm to grow this area of our business. The candidate will need to work with the Customer in accordance with Sandvik Mining Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines and Regulations, Indonesian Standards and Regulations, and Site-specific rules and regulations.

  • Managing the daily functions of the Rock Breakers, working closely with the Parts and Service team to ensure efficient supply of required parts.

  • Working closely with the current team to ensure projects are successfully managed across various mining areas.

  • Mentor, coach and develop Rock Breaker team to ensure team reach current goals.

  • Developing direct customer relationships with clients.

  • Continuously improve and update personal knowledge with respect to product development and technical innovation.

  • Foster a Lean thinking mindset by guiding employees’ actions and behaviours to provide value to the customer

Your profile

  • Ability to lead and work as part of an integrated, broad team to achieve results

  • Must be flexible, self-motivated and demonstrate initiative with an in-depth understanding of customer business processes

  • Superior customer relations and active listening skills

  • Highly developed time management and organizational skills

  • High level of initiative, drive and determination to achieve customer goals and targets

  • Ability to build and maintain good customer relationships

  • Experience with the development and implementation of operational continuous improvement strategies

  • An understanding of the underground mining industry

  • Mandatory Certificate: Lototo, WAH (Working At Heights)
