Role overview

As President of Surface Drilling Division, you lead a global business with significant influence on strategy, performance, and transformation. You drive sustainable growth, strengthen customer value, and contribute to the broader direction of Business Area Mining as a member of the Mining Management Team. You report to the President of Mining.

Your mission

You shape and execute the division’s strategic agenda while ensuring sustainable business results. With full accountability for operations, commercial performance, innovation, and people development, you guide the organization toward long-term success.

Your key responsibilities include:

Defining and executing the division strategy in line with the overall objectives of Mining.
Driving profitable growth and delivering sustainable financial performance.
Strengthening customer partnerships and further developing the division’s market position.
Accelerating digitalization, service development, and new solutions.
Leading a global organization and fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture.
Developing leaders and building capabilities for future success.
Leading change and transformation initiatives that support long-term business objectives.

Location and flexibility

This position is based in Tampere, Finland. Global travel is a natural and expected part of the position.

Your profile

You’re an accomplished business leader with extensive experience from global industrial or technology-driven environments and a strong record of delivering sustainable growth. Combining strategic vision with operational excellence, you’ve led large international organizations through change and transformation.

Your background includes:

Experience with full business responsibility, including P&L accountability.
Leadership of complex international organizations operating in multiple markets.
Proven ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
Strong cultural awareness and effectiveness in global, cross-functional environments.
Advanced verbal and written English skills; Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.

You build trust naturally and inspire people through clear, confident, and credible leadership. Your collaborative approach, curiosity, and willingness to challenge perspectives help drive progress.
