Supply Specialist

Business Unit Automation as part of Division Digital Mining Technologies is driving an exciting and revolutionary transformation in the mining industry. This industry is going totally digital, which has a radical impact on our customers’ way of thinking and the way they run their businesses. Sandvik is the global market leader in this area, offering cutting edge digital products and solutions for its customers worldwide. Our offering includes the AutoMine® product family, which provides solutions for fully automated and robotic mining technologies for underground and surface mining.

We are now looking for a dynamic and proactive Supply Specialist with good networking skills and a get things done attitude. This is a full-time, permanent job and based in Tampere, Finland at our home office in Tulli Business Park located in the city center.

Your role

You will be responsible for the BU Automation customer delivery project purchases and R&D materials. Trade compliance data management for the materials is part of your tasks. You will ensure smooth material flow from the factory to the customer by ordering goods in time and monitoring the progress. Maintaining proper stock levels, anticipating future needs is part of your tasks. You will be also responsible of managing phase in / phase out process for the parts.

Daily supplier cooperation and interaction with related tasks will be your responsibility. Communicating and providing information to both internal and external stakeholders, supporting project office team in close co-operation with material planning as well as other supply chain functions will be an essential part of your daily work.

Your background
You have a suitable educational (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) background in supply chain, technical or manufacturing field, and have earlier experience from supply chain or manufacturing environment. You are able to work independently, as well as a member of a team. Succeeding in the position requires good interpersonal and team working skills, customer-oriented approach, flexibility and ability to work under pressure. Your English and Finnish language skills are fluent, both written and spoken.

We expect you to substitute other members from the Supply Chain team, so there for trade compliance knowledge is valued skill set and some knowledge or experience from export/import duties is a benefit.
