Product Specialist – Underground Drills – Flexible within Australia support PNG
About the opportunity
The Product Specialist role is responsible for providing quality technical support and supporting Sandvik underground drills product line. Assist in developing the technical competencies of the customer and internal personnel for these products
This role involves travel into PNG.
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical assistance to resolve issues.
Develop customer relationships to ensure customers have a positive experience and remain loyal to the Sandvik brand.
Provide technical coaching to the service network on proper operation, maintenance and troubleshooting practices.
Provide technical support to end users, operators, and service personnel in cases of complex technical issues.
Provide relevant feedback to Technical Support Managers and relevant Factory Product Engineering to enable improvements to the equipment or its operation.
Provide assistance in compiling accurate data to process warranty claims and engineering machine improvements.
Advise on spare parts required for planned and unplanned maintenance
Work with Site planners and coordinators to schedule and prioritize corrective work
About you
You are a seasoned professional with expertise in Sandvik Underground Drills, holding a Mechanical Trade Certificate (or equivalent), you bring a wealth of hands-on experience, including working in remote and often demanding environments. Your strong communication skills enable you to engage effectively with customers and colleagues, while your interpersonal skills help you build trust and foster collaboration. You’re known for your ability to stay composed under pressure, respond swiftly to operational needs, and deliver results within tight timeframes.
