Workshop Service Technician – Underground Loader | Mackay QLD
About the Opportunity
Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated local Service Technicians to work out of the Mackay branch. The role is responsible to ensure efficient maintenance of our client’s fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment, working in the workshop. As a Service Technician, you will be performing inspection, preventative maintenance, and repairs of a range of specialist mining equipment.
Rosters: this as a 9-day fortnight roster with overtime available.
What are your responsibilities?
As the Service Technician, you will be:
- Conducting general mechanical duties, including maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
- Executing mechanical maintenance tasks according to maintenance plans, ensuring the integrity and safe operation of the equipment.
- Offering valuable feedback to enhance maintenance planning and efficiency.
- Keeping meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
- Strictly adhering to all policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on EHS policies.
Who We’re Looking For
You have a qualification in a mechanical trade plus a minimum 3 years' post-trade experience. Experience with U/G Coal Loaders is essential and previous experience with Sandvik equipment and DES certification will be looked upon favorably. You have a strong commitment to EHS as you keep safety at the forefront of everything you do.
