Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries, currently has an opening for a Gear Shop 1 at the Brier Hill, PA location.

Key Performance Areas

As the Gear Shop 1, you will be responsible for the disassembly of gear boxes from Sandvik equipment and you must be able to progress into basic assembly functions with minimal training. Additional capability will be developed to inspect, order material and assemble gear boxes. The workshop services the aftermarket for the geographical area. This role will interact with a supervisor as well as a peer group, and in addition, customers and various technical services personnel will work with the group. It is expected that you will have the mechanical aptitude to contribute to disassembly and up front processing immediately. You must show the capability to progress through basic assembly functions quickly.

Your Profile

You possess a Technical diploma or certification in a mechanical or electrical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry-specific equipment. The ability to work as part of an integrated team and be self-motivated is required.

Gear Shop 1 should also possess:

· Ability to comprehend and interpret drawings is required along with the flexibility to do conduct shift work, and travel to customer sites is requested

· Qualified candidate will demonstrate effective customer relations, active listening skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
