Location: Hyderabad (Global role within Sandvik Mining IT)

Reports To: SAP Information Security Manager

About the Role

As a Senior SAP Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our SAP environments. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead SAP security governance, implement robust controls, and support major digital transformation programs across S/4HANA and BTP.

You’ll serve as a subject‑matter expert for SAP Security, guide internal teams and partners, and drive compliance initiatives aligned with global security standards.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Provide governance & oversight for SAP Security & Authorizations across all environments

✔ Lead SAP role design, security solutions, and improvements across projects

✔ Act as SME for business stakeholders & delivery teams

✔ Oversee AMS Security/UX teams and ensure governance adherence

✔ Manage SAP GRC implementations and continuous improvements

✔ Drive SoD remediation initiatives and support audit activities

✔ Contribute to policy, standards, documentation, and best‑practice adoption

What You Bring

8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Security

Strong expertise in SAP Authorization Concepts, SAP GRC Access Control, SAP BTP, and Technical Security

Knowledge of security frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, GDPR

Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across business and IT

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
