About the Role:

Based at Narangba and reporting to the Environment & Sustainability Manager, the Environment & Sustainability Advisor will play a central role in supporting Ground Support’s environmental and sustainability objectives. Reporting to the Environment and Sustainability Manager, you’ll ensure compliance with environmental licence requirements, sustainability reporting requirements, support data collection and reporting, and help drive sustainable behavioural change across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and report environmental and sustainability data across Ground Support sites.
  • Support implementation of sustainability initiatives including waste circularity, pollution prevention, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with Local, Commonwealth and State regulations and environmental licences.
  • Assist in carbon accounting aligned with science-based targets.
  • Develop and deliver training and briefings to site personnel.
  • Promote innovation and best practice sustainability initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.

About You:

You hold a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, which has equipped you with a solid foundation in environmental principles and practices. You bring two to three years of experience in environmental and sustainability roles, where you have developed a strong understanding of relevant legislation and sustainability frameworks. Your ability to analyse data, prepare reports, and engage effectively with stakeholders has been a key strength in your previous roles. You approach your work with a proactive mindset and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. With a high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, you consistently deliver quality outcomes. Additionally, experience in the galvanising or heavy manufacturing industry would be highly regarded.
