Regional Sales Manager, Southwest China

JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for the Regional Sales Manager who base in Chengdu and reports to Market Manager. This role will lead, coach, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve business objectives and sales targets in Southwest China. Drive market expansion, enhance customer satisfaction, strengthen market competitiveness, and ensure sustainable profitable growth across the region.
MAIN RESPONSBILITIES:
Operational sales management
- Implement with his team the strategy with objectives for direct customers and distributors.
- Drives and executes the business plan to ensure delivery according to financial target and objectives
- Control the reporting of sales opportunities with each of the account managers and monitor their progress.
- Drive the implementation of Sales and technical monitoring of distributors.
- Check and share with the pricing department the content and legal aspects of contracts according to Compliance and Code of Conduct
- Stick to the sales plan for new products set up at the Market level in order to achieve the group's objectives.
- Manage sales: Communicate in his team on the achievements and build an action plan to correct and fill the gaps.
- Responsible for ensuring targets and objectives are clearly defined and set for Technical Engineers and Application Specialists
- Monitor the deployment of the strategy on all sales territories through an annual sales plan.
- Manage the tariff increases and profitability for his/her area.
Operational management of distribution
- Establish and monitor the sales plan by setting up the Marketing plan with the Distribution Manager of China.
- Identify potential partnerships with new distributors, and implement them in relation with the Distribution Manager of the Market.
- Prepare and facilitate the launch sales meetings at the beginning of the year.
- Participate the Evaluate and analyze process of distributors and establish the action plan.
Monitoring and sharing the information
- Follow up the sales of its Region: Revenue / Products / Segments / services (of the region).
- Track opportunities with a sales forecast.
- Enforce the s budgets Fees / Operation of the region / Trials / Free.
- Manage the follow-up of the update of the various parameters in CRM: Customer classification, update of potential, planning of visits, update of opportunities and contacts.
- Comply with the Sandvik Group's distribution charter and compliance.
- Present sales, product and opportunity results to the Market Sales Manager
- Analyze KPI’s in order to verify the achievement of objectives.
Leadership
- Manage the team: Supervise and coordinate the team based on the measurement of the performance of goals and KPIs
- Ensure the application of the procedures in force, enforce the rules in a comprehensive and homogeneous manner, in particular the compliance/compliance rules of the Sandvik Group
- Develop the team: Ensure a work environment that fosters initiative, creativity and innovation.
- Manage the team's continuous improvement plans, set progress objectives, verify their achievement. Develop versatility in the department and monitor the development of employees' skills.
- Communication: Provide information to employees of the department (objectives and commercial results, HR information, company/group information, etc.) Escalate the information to the right stakeholders within the allotted time.
- Alert on the risks identified and the problems encountered according to the defined processes
- Participate to the definition of the Sales Strategy of the region.
- Keep up to date KPIs and performance indicators applicable to the regional team.

- Apply the rules of procedure.
- Comply with the Sandvik Code of Conduct.
- Comply with policies and procedures relating to anti-corruption policy, conflicts of interest, competition laws, gifts and protection of personal data.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of experience in the machining, tooling, or production engineering industry.
- Proven sales management experience with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic and commercial mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Results-oriented with a proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
- Good English communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness and ability to undertake frequent business travel across the assigned region.
