Service Technician (Component Fitter) (Afternoon Shift) – Kenwick, WA

About the opportunity

We have several exciting opportunities available for experienced and motivated Mechanics to join our Components Rebuild team. We are open to considering Mechanics from all industries who are ready to contribute to our dynamic team.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, in a challenging and busy environment you will be required to:

  • Hands-on maintenance and rebuild of Sandvik equipment, including but not limited to Sandvik Rock Drills, Transmissions etc.

  • Reassembling and testing components to specification

  • Accurately complete inspection and quality control documentation

  • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals and OEM sources

  • Maintain the workshop area to a high standard of housekeeping and organisation

The role is permanent full-time and based at our brand-new workshop based in Kenwick and an excellent opportunity for a tradesman who is looking for a long-term career in mining.

Roster:

  • Afternoon: 2pm – 12am, (10 hours per shift, paid break) Monday to Thursday (enjoy a long weekend every weekend!)

Your profile

  • Relevant Trade Qualification

  • Previous experience working on a variety of mining equipment (Sandvik equipment would be an advantage)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Good attitude with a strong work ethic and focus on safety
