About the Role
Are you looking to launch your career in a commercially focused, data-driven role? We’re looking for an entry-level Commercial Analyst to join our team on a 3-month contract, covering paternity leave, with potential for ongoing work.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in a high-impact role, working closely with our Sales and Customer Service teams to enhance our operations, insights, and internal systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
This role blends commercial analysis with operational support and administrative system improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting sales performance analysis through reporting, pricing, and contract reviews.
- Working on key commercial initiatives such as forecasting, demand planning, and stock control.
- Reviewing, organising, and overhauling internal administrative systems and filing structures.
- Assisting with contract management, customer queries, and rebate tracking.
- Building and maintaining internal databases and process documentation.
- Preparing reports and dashboards using Excel and other tools to identify trends and insights.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
One of the following core skill sets (essential):
- Advanced Excel and strong numeracy skills (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, complex formulas). OR
- Legal knowledge or education, such as a background in Law or strong contract comprehension skills.
And these attributes:
- Exceptionally structured, systematic, and organised - you love creating order and improving processes.
- A keen eye for detail and a natural problem solver.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to engage with various stakeholders.
You may be a final-year student or a recent graduate in Business, Law, Commerce, Finance, or a related field, and you're comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with reporting tools or databases would be an added advantage.
