Project and Communication Coordinator
IT Delivery organization within Sandvik supports end to end business processes with solutions by providing solution design & architecture, project implementation and service operations.
We are looking for a structured, proactive communicator who can turn project updates, technical details, and change activities into clear, engaging messages. The position is temporary for one-year period and location is Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland.
Your mission as a Project and Communication Coordinator is to work closely with project leaders and subject matter experts to build understanding, drive readiness, and support smooth adoption across the organization. You will also coordinate key sub-project activities by ensuring that vendors receive the required materials, information, and decisions on time. In addition, you will organize training and testing sessions so that the right stakeholders are prepared and able to participate effectively.
Your daily responsibilities
Plan, execute, and maintain communication and change activities.
Create and update content for project channels, Teams, newsletters, and internal updates. Create and maintain Project SharePoint site.
Communicate milestones, rollout status and user impacts in a clear, structured, and timely way.
Use Sandvik’s tone of voice and brand guidelines to ensure communication is simple, consistent, and accessible to a global audience.
Translate technical information into user‑friendly messaging that support understanding, decision‑making, and engagement.
Maintain stakeholder lists, coordinate with workstream leads, and gather updates to keep content accurate and relevant.
Support ADKAR‑based change activities, training communication, and UAT information flow.
Prepare and quality‑check documents, process descriptions, templates, and other materials to ensure clarity and alignment.
In Document Generator Sub project ensure that
A vendor receives required materials, information, and decisions on time
In Mining side coordinate the Document Generator sub-project activities, e.g. schedules Document Generator related trainings and UAT sessions together with the vendor training and testing coordinators and ensure participation of the required attendees.
In the main project coordinate all CPQ-O and Teamcenter trainings
Besides your core duties, you would also be available to act as a tester and trainer when needed.
Your background & what can you bring to our team?
We are looking for someone with experience in project communication, PMO support, stakeholder engagement, or internal communications. Familiarity with ADKAR or similar change management models is considered an advantage. You may also have experience supporting digital transformation programs or working in global project environments. In addition, practical experience with Microsoft 365 tools, such as SharePoint and Teams will help you succeed in this role.
You bring strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences. You have excellent organizational and planning capabilities, along with a strong attention to detail. You are comfortable navigating global, cross-functional environments and building strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders. You can confidently work with communication guidelines, templates, and brand standards, while maintaining clarity and consistency when handling multiple tasks. In addition, you bring strong coordination and facilitation skills that support effective collaboration and project progress.
