Manufacturing Planning Manager
Are you ready to lead a small, capable team through a transformation that matters for our customers and our site? At Sandvik Coromant in Gimo, we’re looking for someone who thrives on turning complex production flows into clear, data-driven plans that keep delivery promises – and our people – safe! Are you our new Manufacturing Planning Manager?
About your job
In this role, you lead the planning function at Gimo Inserts and ensure that our production runs on time and with the right capacity. Your job blends strategy with hands-on execution; building a reliable, agile, and optimized planning process, setting meaningful KPIs, and follow up on performance and cost. You drive the transition toward modern planning and scheduling, leading to on-time delivery and efficient production. You promote a data-driven approach, anchor new ways of working, and secure compliance with EHS requirements. You collaborate closely with production, global planning, and sales areas to resolve bottlenecks, align plans, and improve delivery precision.
As part of the Gimo Inserts Management team, you play a key role in shaping the strategic direction for Gimo Inserts and ensuring company-wide benefits and efficiencies through strong collaboration across our site. Four production planners report directly to you, and you make sure to develop their skills, grow talent and ensure effective succession planning.
The location for this position is Gimo, where you’re an active and present leader.
Your profile
You have a relevant academic background – for example Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, Logistics, Economics or equivalent – combined with several years in production planning, supply chain, or operations within manufacturing. Strong command of ERP planning tools, SAP or similar, and confidence in data analysis, help you turn insights into decisions. Knowledge of EHS practices and a general understanding of Swedish labor law is a must to support safe and compliant operations. Courses or certifications in Lean, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, or Change Management is considered a plus. Acting locally in a global organization calls for excellent skills in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
Curiosity and clarity guide your leadership. You think strategically yet act pragmatically, communicate with purpose, and build trust across functions. Resilience helps you sustain progress through follow-ups and long-term improvements. Change energizes you; you engage people, create buy-in, and keep momentum through ambiguity. Your integrity shows in your decisions while your empathy shows in how you coach, listen, and delegate – you’re a humble and including leader who’s easy to trust.
