HR Manager

We at Sandvik Rock Processing are the leading supplier of equipment and services for the mining and construction industry. At our Lahti site we engineer and manufacture industry leading hydraulic hammers and other hydraulic attachments for maximum productivity.

We are now looking for an experienced HR Manager for Sandvik Lahti site. In this role, you will be a strategic and operational partner to our managers, and you will work closely with the organization and play a key role in driving change and improvement initiatives. You support managers in both daily and long-term HR matters, with a focus on executing our strategy from a people perspective. Your curiosity and HR expertise help create an attractive workplace with engaged leaders and employees.

Your role

As HR Manager, you are in a key influential and leadership role at the site. You are an active member at the Site Management Team and other key decision-making forums. You will lead and facilitate several key personnel topics and initiatives at the site. Your role is diverse with coordination needs towards site, country and international networks, covering e.g. the following areas:

  • Coordinate Compliance: Ensure HR activities at the site comply with legislation and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Union Liaison: Act as the main HR contact for local unions, facilitating and negotiating cooperative and development matters in line with business requests, local laws, and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Manager Support: Train, coach and develop people managers with employee-related topics, including e.g. annual HR processes, employment life-cycle matters, learning and development, and employee engagement in collaboration with the HR Finland Services team.
  • Occupational Health: Act as the main employer contact for occupational health care at the site. Drive health and wellbeing development activities with the external service provider.
  • HR Representation: Participate in and represent HR in local site management, union cooperative meetings and other relevant forums at the site.
  • Country HR alignment: Represent the site in country HR collaboration forums. Drive collaboration and alignment, and strive for consistency and compliance from country and legal entity perspective.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with several years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, where you’ve worked close to the business and supported both managers and operations in a broad HR role, preferably within a industrial environment. You have solid knowledge of the Finnish labor legislation and collective agreements. You have excellent influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills and you communicate comfortably in Finnish and English. We hope you enjoy leading and driving change with a positive mindset.
