Junior Sourcing Specialist

Sandvik Indirect Procurement Finland works as an active part of a decentralized Sandvik organization. We support the goals and strategies of our Business Areas through category-driven, efficient and resilient procurement.

We are now looking for a proactive Junior Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Tampere for a full-time fixed-term position until 31 August 2027. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain broad, practical experience in indirect procurement in an international business environment. The role is primarily based at the Tampere factory, with the possibility to work remotely from time to time.

Your role

In this entry-level procurement role, you will support the Indirect Procurement Finland team in different daily activities and selected development projects. Your responsibilities will include e.g,:

Supporting our stakeholders in supplier onboarding and purchase-to-pay process related tasks
Validating and maintaining supplier master data across different procurement and business systems
Supporting in supplier contracting, contract archiving and signature workflows
Planning and executing of procurement related trainings, instructions and updates
Acting as a substitution for a short parental leave taking care of specific sourcing and procurement related activities under Travel, Promotion and Communication category
Assisting in other procurement-related tasks and projects as needed.

In this role you will work closely with the Indirect Procurement team, internal stakeholders and suppliers. You will receive support from experienced procurement professionals and have the opportunity to develop your skills through varied assignments.

Your background and skills

You have a suitable educational background in business, procurement, supply chain, engineering or another relevant field. You may be a recent graduate or at an early stage of your career. Previous experience in procurement, supply chain, or customer service is an advantage.

Work in a proactive and systematic way
Be comfortable using digital tools and learning new solutions
Have good written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and English
