Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions (SMR) is a leading supplier in equipment and tools, services and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Our application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing & screening, loading, & hauling, tunnelling, quarrying, and breaking & demolition. To our Rock Tools division and to our logistics department at Pune, we are now looking for an Executive – Logistics to join us
Your Scope:
Responsible for managing the imports & clearance of parts, tools, equipment of Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology.
To be more specific, your main responsibilities to handle in this position are
- Support and ensure 100% compliance with Sandvik Environment Health & Safety (EHS) standards, procedures, and Sandvik Core Values in day-to-day activities.
- Strong focus on safety is a must, promoting safety culture while handling Logistics role as per Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology EHS policies, procedures, and objective always.
- Import clearance for Sandvik import order tracking per supply schedules, Follow up with Supplier for timely delivery of material with proper documents and mapping delivery performance
- Monitoring & controlling the overall lead time of imports.
- Monitoring import clearance procedure at all Indian major ports for Sandvik parts/ Tools/ Equipment Business
- Selection, negotiation, appointment and management of forwarders, CHA, transporters and ensure cost-effective and quality services
- Formulate a system to ensure error free documentation & complying with Indian laws of international, local trade.
- Custom clearance under Exim scheme like advance license, EPCG, MEIS and other export incentive scheme.
- Local dispatches with transport arrangement i.e. initiate RFQ, negotiation with transporter, finalization and arrange to dispatch with proper legal documentation.
- Laisoning with RTO, border, commercial department officer for objection raised on ODC shipment and resolving the same.
- Audit & local compliance for import & local dispatch procedure, vendor selection and registration.
- Transit insurance claim documentation, follow up and settlement with Insurance company.
- Vendor bills clearance related to logistics, analyze as per agreed term/ rate, process and ensure timely payment with reconciliation with vendor
- Working in team, supporting overall Import process
- Set & measure KPIs of service providers.
- Trade Compliance for import transaction being handle.
Your profile
Our candidate should be a postgraduate or graduate in any stream with a specialization in supply chain management, EXIM, and logistics operations with minimum 6 years of experience from a reputed organization or with similar profile. Worked with a strong EHS cultured organization is a distinct advantage and you understand the importance of a diverse workforce and collaborative settings.
Competencies that we find necessary are:
- Very good knowledge of EXIM procedures.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Exposure to ERPs like SAP, M3 will be an advantage.
- Team working and leading skills.
- Proficiency in MS office tools
