Service Coordinator Italy & Med

Sandvik is looking for a Service Coordinator with a Mechanical Engineering background to join our Service team. In this role, you will support operational activities related to technical assistance and Parts & Services, acting as a key connection between field technicians, customers, and internal functions

The role includes a structured development path, with progressive acquisition of technical skills that will eventually enable the candidate to provide remote technical support and contribute more actively to service sales activities.


Main Responsibilities

Service Operations & Customer Interaction

  • Plan and coordinate the schedule of service technicians, ensuring efficient and timely interventions.

  • Manage operational contacts with customers, ensuring clear, professional, and solution-oriented communication.

  • Collect, record, and prioritize service requests, working closely with technicians and the sales team.

  • Support reporting activities and the monitoring of service KPIs.


Parts & Services Sales Support

  • Promote a proactive approach to selling service solutions, in line with Sandvik’s strategy.

  • Actively support the preparation of service and spare parts quotations (component identification, service packages, contracts).

  • Contribute to the development of value-added service sales opportunities, starting from customers’ operational needs.

  • Collaborate with the sales team by providing technical sales support.


Technical Development & Advanced Support

  • Gradually acquire knowledge of Sandvik products, applications, and processes.

  • Support the analysis of technical issues reported by customers.

  • Provide, over time, remote technical assistance, contributing to customers’ operational continuity.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives in service and customer experience.

  • Act as the primary point of contact with production, suppliers, and logistics.


Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

  • 2–3 years of experience in technical, service, or sales support roles.

  • Good ability to understand technical documentation (manuals, electrical and hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical part drawings).

  • Interest in technical support and customer business management.

  • Familiarity with digital tools and IT systems (CRM is a plus).

  • Experience in the mining or technical equipment sector is considered a plus.

Initial salary within the pay range of reference: starting from 39,000 Eur gross per year, 10% individual bonus and local profit-sharing bonus.


The actual salary offered will be determined based on various factors, such as internal pay equity, market benchmarks, responsibilities, experience, and skills of the selected candidate.
