Assistant Manager-Parts and Service
SMRT(i)PL, we have SRP as a business area, which is a leading supplier in equipment, services, support and technical solutions for construction and mining industry and specialist in Crushing, Screening, Mobile plants, and attachments
We are looking for a dynamic and an energetic Assistant Manager -Parts & Service for SRP sales area. Who can drive profitable sales of Sandvik’s Parts, Services, Components and Contracts offering in close collaboration with Service Business Line. This role reports to the Regional /Zonal Manager -Aftermarket. This position will be based in Ernakulam, Kerela.
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Sandvik safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures while fostering a strong safety culture.
- Responsible for P&L for respective region for C&S AM Business and Identify opportunities to sell Sandvik total offerings
- Achieve targeted revenue and profitability objectives for the assigned region/business segment. Drive revenue growth by achieving annual sales and service revenue targets.
- Has sound technical knowledge on all range of Crushing and Screening Sandvik supplied equipment, Ability to carry out all maintenance hands on in case situation demands and supervise all maintenance activities at customers place and is expert in trouble shooting the problems if any.
- Make the detailed service reports as required, follow up with customers for spares orders and have good coordination with order desk, finance and colleagues for smooth functioning of services.
- Identify opportunities to increase aftermarket sales through parts, wear parts, services, upgrades, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer operations, production requirements, and maintenance practices to deliver value-added support solutions.
- Monitor equipment performance, reliability, and availability, and recommend actions to improve machine uptime and productivity in the territory/customers allocated.
- Support forecasting and planning of parts, components, and service requirements based on customer fleet utilization and operational needs
- Work closely with Sales, Service, Product Support, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless execution of lifecycle support programs
- Conduct regular customer visits, performance reviews, and business discussions to strengthen customer relationships and improve satisfaction.
- Analyse customer fleet performance data and generate recommendations that improve productivity, operating cost, and asset life.
- Ensure CRM and other business systems are updated with accurate customer, equipment, and business information.
- Support the resolution of customer issues related to machine performance, service quality, warranty claims, and technical support requirements.
- Promote new aftermarket products, digital solutions, and lifecycle management initiatives to enhance customer value and business growth.
- Track key business metrics including aftermarket revenue, fleet coverage, customer satisfaction, inventory performance, and service utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and aftermarket business performance
- Support strategic account development by creating customer value propositions and contributing to long-term customer retention and growth.
- Conduct competitor analysis covering product offerings, performance, pricing, market share, service capabilities, and aftermarket strategies; identify market gaps and recommend actions to strengthen Sandvik's competitive position and drive business growth
- Analyse potential business opportunities within the assigned customer base and fleet population, compare potential versus targets, identify revenue gaps, and develop action plans to achieve and exceed business objectives
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of customer visit reports, service reports, warranty reports, and other operational documentation

The ideal candidate should possess 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 5 to 6 years of experience in the Crushing & Screening (C&S) industry within the Maintenance & Service function. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to manage service operations, support business growth initiatives, improve customer satisfaction, and lead teams effectively while ensuring operational excellence and profitability.
