The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing mechanical and electrical maintenance, inspections, and repair work on customer equipment within the Sales Area. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports operational efficiency, and upholds safety and quality standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks as directed, ensuring work meets required standards and maintains the integrity and safe operation of all equipment.
Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment by contributing to job safety analyses, adhering to
engineering and facility standards, and following approved work practices.Performing fault diagnosis and repairs using hydraulic and electrical schematics
Providing accurate and timely feedback to support effective maintenance planning and equipment reliability.
Working towards achieving set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Conducting technical equipment audits and prepare detailed technical reports. Carry out all maintenance and repair activities within set budgets and timeframes.
Complying with all Sandvik Policies and Procedures, particularly Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) policies.
Qualification and Experience:
Degree or HND in Mechanical or Electrical discipline, with experience in heavy-duty trackless equipment.
Knowledge of Top Hammer and Down-The-Hole (DTH) drill rigs will be an added advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
Team-oriented with a proactive approach to work.
Basic computer literacy.
Valid driver’s license (Class B preferred).
