Job Summary

Sandvik is seeking applications from motivated individuals for Sales Engineer Equipment based in Jakarta.

This position is responsible for promoting and selling the organization’s products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets. To apply and use knowledge of sales process and equipment to support front line sales representatives in promoting and selling the organization's products and services within assigned geographic area, product range or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform sales activities, establishes, develop and maintains business relationships with current and/or prospective customers to maintain renewal business and generate new business for the assigned geographic area, set of named accounts to achieve or exceed revenue objectives;

  • Develop strong customer relationships at all levels (plant engineers, research and technology experts, purchasing managers, and senior management);

  • Prepare and deliver highly tailored product demonstrations that show deep understanding of the customer’s challenges;

  • Demonstrate technical expertise and answer relating questions to the product, and how it fits into the prospect’s existing ecosystem;

  • Create and conduct sales presentations to match customers required capabilities to match their positive business outcomes;

  • Remain knowledgeable and keep abreast of the company's new and existing products/services to facilitate sales efforts;

  • Research sources for developing current and prospective customers to determine their potential;

  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers;

  • Create and maintain account plans for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities;

  • Maintain accurate sales data and reports within Salesforce (CRM);

  • Provide accurate forecasts for new sales and renewal revenues;

  • Present and leverage key metrics to leadership, key stakeholders, and customers to determine potential;

  • Leverage trade shows and conventions; schedules training and seminars to enhance new business opportunities within current and prospective customer base;

  • Alert client to new or improved products/services and relays client feedback to product development staff;

  • Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers;

  • Prepare quotes and customer implementation plans;

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and competitive position of the company;

  • Challenges his/her self to achieve order intake and revenue annual sales target.

COLLABORATION WITH OTHER BUSINESS LINE

  • As the matrix organization you will be collaborating with many people within Sandvik in both global and SEA regions, including Business Line Managers.

  • Direct report to Sales Manager Equipment.

  • Regularly review EHS performance metrics and lead improvement initiatives based on trends, audits, and incidents.

  • Ensure effective communication of EHS priorities and expectations to all employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate exemplary EHS behavior and ensure the organization complies with Sandvik global EHS Policy, ISO 14001/45001, and SMKP requirements.

  • Empower all employees to stop and report any work that appears unsafe or could cause harm, without fear of retaliation.

PREFERRED ENVIRONMENT & MOBILITY

  • Jakarta office, with regular travel to Balikpapan office.

  • Willing to travel globally within Sandvik area and/or from site to site within country of Indonesia.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • > 4 years experiences Sandvik Equipment and technology or appropriated products.

  • > 3 years experiences as salesperson in heavy equipment industry.

  • Candidates should have experienced in Mining or Construction Industries

  • Graduated (S1) of Formal University qualification e.g. Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering are preferred

  • Proficient in English communications verbal and written.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation, along with high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
