Job Purpose:
To help accelerate our growth further Sandvik is looking for a HR Operations Specialist. This role is a critical horizontal within the HR function that will centrally manage HR operations for Sandvik.

Some of the key engagement areas that this role will impact are, centralizing HRIS and employee database, End to end payroll management, supporting queries on various HR lifecycle stage and events, creating and managing excel based BI models, periodic reporting to name a few.

The HR operations SPECIALIST will report into the Head of HR and will work independently in this role. The role may require some travel to support Sandvik’s Engagement and initiatives.

Job Description:

You will be actively managing various stages of Employee Lifecycle. Few of the key activities are as below.

  • Handling the complete Employee Life Cycle Management for On-Roll & Contractual Staff.
  • Preparing HR letters/documents/certificates/offers as per requirement.
  • End to end Onboarding & Exit Process Management
  • Actively managing HRMS including period reporting and ongoing maintenance of the HR system
  • Support for Employee Engagement activities as per monthly, semi annual and annual basis
  • You will also contribute activity towards Policies creation, maintenance and update on periodic basis and communicating and explaining the organization's HR policies to the employees.
  • One of the key responsibilities for this role is to manage the company HRMS which includes, but is not limited to:
    • HRIS Data base management: To maintain up-to-date information on transfers, compensation, terminations, mapping updating & organizational changes.
    • Leave and Attendance Management
  • As a HR Ops SPECIALIST, you will also help resolve various queries of employees (New Hires, Existing & Exited Employees)

Some of the desirables from the role holder will include:

You will also be a key point of contact for Statutory Compliance for APAC region such as for

  • India: PF, ESIC, Gratuity, minimum wages, etc
  • Singapore: Employment Act (SG), Central PF Act, Employment of foreign manpower act, Foreign Employees Dormitories Act, Employment Claims Act etc
  • If you have awareness of statutory compliance for rest of Asia will be an advantage
  • You will also support Payroll and FnF for employees
  • You will also support various reports and analysis that will be required for MI and Internal/external audits. Few key activities are as below:
    • Providing FNF Inputs to payroll i.e. Exit Cases, Relieving etc.
    • Analysis of HR metrics & trends using Excel, BI tools and other HR systems and applications, identify root causes impacting performance and provide insights
    • Create periodic executive reports & presentations and communicate data on a regular basis to key stakeholders

Desired Candidate Profile

· 3-8 years of proven work experience as an HR Operations role.

· Well versed with Excel Functions & PPT Skills.

· Good knowledge of labor law for India. Awareness of labor laws in other countries will be a great advantage.

· Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems.

· Ability to develop clear and fair company policies.

· Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.

· Ability to work independently with little guidance

  • Employee query management
  • Advise on Labour law
  • Onboarding and offboarding of data
  • Periodic reporting to various internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and amend company policies
  • Running Employee training sessions
